Sixt Alpine Chalet occupies a fabulous position overlooking the village of Sixt Fer a Cheval in the Giffre Valley – part of the huge Grand Massif ski area which includes Samoens and Flaine. It is perfectly located to take advantage of the numerous activities that the area has to offer at any time of the year.
We offer high quality catered, B&B and self-catered accommodation along with airport transfers. We can also put together bespoke packages of activities and accommodation for any occasion to ensure you make the most of your time here in our little corner of the Alps.
Who are we?
Sixt Alpine Chalet opened it’s doors for the first time in February 2007 following an 18 month renovation of Chalet L’Alpee. Since then we have had the privilege of meeting some lovely people who have become friends and we welcome back year after year.
Being keen skiers, hikers and climbers our aim was to create a chalet holiday that we would want to go on. The result is a real home-from-home chalet accommodation and unrivalled service from start to finish.
But don’t take our word for it – read what previous guests say about us on our Trip Advisor page.
See what we have been up to
It has been a while coming, but finally the new website is live! We think it is pretty good, but would welcome any feedback – just send us an email! If there is anything missing or not working properly (particularly on tablets and phones), please let us know.
As always, it is great to see guests coming back and we are happy to give a 5% discount on all returning guest bookings.
Conditions and snow report
Friday 13th 16.00 local time. The promised snow has arrived – in bucket-loads! It has been snowing more or less non-stop for the last 24 hours now and we are due more tonight and into tomorrow. The links between the resorts are now open (except Samoens-Flaine but that will be very soon), and the snow base is growing nicely. Take a look at this video taken by one of this week’s guests!
Looks like all change after a snowy weekend though with Arctic weather pushing in – we are expecting -14c at night and -5c during the day!! Should be some amazing conditions for the rest of January!!
